In 2018, Morteza Kariminia published an article that introduces the oldest Persian writing found in form of notes written by the owner of a set of Qurʿānic juzʿ (parts) booklets dated 292/905 written by a native of Ṭūs called Aḥmad Khayqānī. The manuscript is scattered across numerous libraries, but only two have the Persian notes on the juzʿ sheets, namely National Library of Israel (Yehuda Ms. Ar. 966) and Chester Beatty Museum Library (Is 1417A and Is 1417B).
