Zaiba is a former secondary school history teacher. She completed a Master's in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford, exploring decolonisation, race and the history curriculum.
Her DPhil, which will begin at Oxford in October, will investigate the role of engaged pedagogies in supporting decolonisation and strengthening young people's sense of belonging in the history curriculum.
She is supporting the Invisible East programme on its public engagement activities with Secondary Schools in the Oxfordshire area.
